Interactive customer displays
Choose between 50 different modules
on your interactive customer displays
to allow shoppers to interact.
1. Check if your POS already has available ports for an additional external monitor.
2. Check if you need additional software to handle dual input from multiple touch monitors and content.
3. Contact ID24 if you need hardware or software. They offer a complete interactive customer display solution.
Interactive customer displays at point of purchase displays the item list of the transaction next to many different interactive modules for the customer. In fact the interactive customer display can be any tablet or more commonly a touchscreen second monitor attached to the same machine.
Since 2009 the company ID24 has offered a complete “interactive customer displays” (“ICD”) solution including both hardware and software (depending on the project needs). We are often able to make the POS/PMS integration without any additional changes needed to the POS/PMS software. Even more we also write OS drivers to handle the dual input touch events so the cashier and the customer can use their screens simultaneously without issues.
This device will run on the same CPU as the existing “main” display facing the cashier. Many operating systems only support one cursor so there might be a risk of interference if the cashier and shopper want to input at the same time. Import to point out, by the way, is that this is something the ID24 software is able to solve.
In this setup the device will run on its own CPU which has its own benefits and disadvantages to begin with. However having the device run on its own CPU and graphics card means better graphics with a tablet. Above all the tablet, which is customer facing, you can offer stunning animations to the user.
In brief a few of the challenging things can also be mentioned. Since this device is normally customer facing a cashier would not see when the device is turned off or on. So typically the support cost goes up in this situation. In addition you will need at least remote support software and licenses for additional devices. For instance, many chains opt-in for a consumer grade tablet as an interactive customer display which should still work fine. In addition this is good to keep the scalability of such a solution. To sum it up it can always be challenging when you need to maintain consumer products in an enterprise solution with forced iOS updates and more.
In other words if you are looking for software that works on both above setups you can contact ID24 who offers a second display software bundle. The ID24 Software bundle consists of a number of different software solutions in one interactive customer display product:
– Digital signage
– Digital signature
– Email validation
– Forms automation
– Kiosk software

If you are fine with standard hardware that is in-stock and more simple modules then about 2 – 3 weeks can be enough to get your interactive customer displays live in-store. If we need to integrate customer data flows then the development maybe take some additional time.
ID24 is a module-based software solution. It is priced depending on how many screens we operate for you and how many modules you have. Simpler interactive customer display solutions costs less than a complicated solution.
